By accessing or using Bichess (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ('Terms') and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

To access certain features of Bichess, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your credentials secure. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Bichess may offer paid subscription plans ('Premium'). By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your selected plan. All fees are stated in EUR and are exclusive of applicable taxes.

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account settings.
• Price changes will be communicated with at least 30 days' notice.

You agree to use Bichess in a lawful and respectful manner. Prohibited conduct includes, but is not limited to:

• Cheating: using engine assistance, scripts, or external tools during rated games.
• Harassment, hate speech, or threats directed at other users.
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent bans or manipulate ratings.
• Unauthorized scraping, crawling, or automated data extraction.

All content, trademarks, software, and materials on Bichess are owned by Bichess or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or exploit any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Fair play is central to the Bichess experience. We use automated detection systems to identify suspicious behavior. Accounts found cheating may be permanently banned without refund.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. Scheduled maintenance, force majeure events, or third-party failures may cause temporary outages. We will communicate planned downtime when possible.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bichess shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may close your account at any time by contacting support. Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with the jurisdiction specified in a separate governing law clause to be determined by legal counsel.
